Print runs to end of y axis - then ejects filament (solved) (no replies)

Hello there,

Running marlin 2.1.1 on an Anycubic mega pro, Printrun 1.6.0

Will include the config files for marlin in case it helps but here is the command I'm seeing when trying to start a print in Pronterface.

TFT Serial Debug: OnUserConfirmRequired triggered... Please wait...
//action:paused
TFT Serial Debug: OnUserConfirmRequired triggered... Heating...
TFT Serial Debug: OnUserConfirmRequired triggered... Ejecting...

Then the printer extrudes about 15mm of filament, pauses for a few seconds and then completely ejects out the filament. Unsure what would cause the ejection? Seems clear it is doing what it is told to do.

Operator error:
**Just in case anyone else runs into this issue I'll leave it up. My problem was that my filament sensor was triggered, which Marlin is setup to eject the filament, and then insert new. I'm not used to that with the default anycubic program. Simply reversed the trigger for the filament runout and solved that issue.

Has anyone changed the pronterface UI? (1 reply)

Hi All,

I've got a robot based on a 3d printer design that runs on gcode. I've managed to get it up and running using pronterface (I can control all the axis and upload programs). Is there a way to simplify the pronterface UI and add some new features (add a program search function, remove all the heater control sections, make it fit a 7inch raspberry PI screen)? Where would I begin to get this working on a raspberry pi?

Hello all: Issue I have a Macbook pro and pronterface loaded. When opening pronterface the port box shows /dev/tty.BLTH and /dev/cu.BLTH. On either one, pronterface will not connect to my printer. I have an Ender 3, 4.2.7 board, Marlin 2.0.1
Any help is appreciated.

Sorry for double posting but I am really having an issue getting Pronterface to work on my laptop. in the port box I get this /dev/tty.BLTH. I get this error. Connecting...
Could not connect to /dev/tty.BLTH at baudrate 115200:
Serial error: [Errno 16] could not open port /dev/tty.BLTH: [Errno 16] Resource busy: '/dev/tty.BLTH'
Can someone point me in the right direction to get this working?? What is missing??
Thank you

Pronterface Missing -Z Jog Option? (11 replies)

I have a MakerGear M2E printer, and I'm going to upgrade the firmware. I want to be able to test it a bit before I run a print, and was planning on using Pronterface. I've installed it, and set all the parameters I can find. If I click on the three "Home" buttons on the jog control wheel, all three axes go to the right place. The +/-X and +/-Y commands all work as they should. HOWEVER, the Z axis homes at the maximum Z position (fully down), and I have no "-Z" option available on the wheel to raise it. Z is currently stuck with the platform al the way down. (see attached image).

Any idea what I'm missing? As long as I manually raise the platform after the firmware update, I can still check that everything runs in the right direction, but I'd like to get this fixed for the future.

Thanks!
